The Pill: Killing Babies For Jesus

Many newly married Christians think they should wait to have kids. That is, they wait several years until they’ve traveled the world and got their fill of an over-extended life of singleness. Some have even decided they don’t want kids. Yet, they all want the joys of sex–understandably. What to do, what to do…

Well, condoms are no fun, so many turn to the pill.

The Pill as Abortifacient

Turns out the pill does more than prevent the release of eggs and poisoning unwanted, life-carrying sperm. It poisons the uterine wall making it difficult for a renegade baby (a fertilized egg) to attach to the uterus and thrive. Of course, this last-ditch-effort of the pill is plain murder. So if you take the pill and are sexually active with your husband you will never know if Plan B kicked in.

But come on! This only means that you’ll never know how many babies you murdered.

Using the pill is simply hoping that its murder to non-murder ratio is very low. That is the decision you’re making. You are not trusting a safe birth-control method when the method chosen was designed to prevent life from occurring, and then to destroy that life if the odds beat the system. You’ve not chosen a method with the possible side-effect of murder; you’ve chosen one with the intention of murder.

Biblically speaking it’s not enough that the pill is designed to keep you from fulfilling a creation ordinance (Genesis 1:28), but it actually murders the baby if you should–and you likely do!  God does not approve of such an ethic.

Irony and Significance

I recon this is a major issue in the role of God’s judgment of our land. Just think of the pro-life zeal of Christians. And then think of the rank hypocrisy due to their pro-death practice (albeit unwittingly in some cases).

We’re glad that many pastors are theologically sound enough to understand that as a Nation we are under judgment for our sins. We only wish that they would focus on sins of the church–the sins we can actually change. We cannot overturn Roe v. Wade overnight. But we can stop murdering our own. Pagans act like pagans, but there is no excuse for Christians acting like pagans. And until we repent of our gross sins we cannot expect God’s blessing and his protection from our enemies (Deut 23:14).

Proper Responses

The way forward for Christians is to repent of this before God and never use the pill again. Live a holy life so that you may see your babies in heaven.

Pastors, you should be ashamed of yourselves for not preaching on the day’s main issues on which your sheep are compromising holiness. Leave it to you fakes to feed us full of pious sermons and “theological” Sunday School lessons, and yet leave us ethically barren. How dare you press the need for us to “reach the lost for the gospel” or to support “the missionaries” when we have morally-little to show we’re anything but lost ourselves. The lost can be saved unto what?  Stern covenantal chastisement?

This is not a neutral or passive thing, but an active assault on our faith and lives. Not preaching against the soul-destroying and family-wrecking pits of our culture is an act of aggression on your congregants, and abdication of your office, and treason against God. We pray that God would rebuke, reprove, and reform you; or remove you all together from your office. Amen.
